This is the first post of Design Madness. In this blog I have the chance to fully express my visual art passion. There will be pictures along with text about a certain piece, exhibition or audio file. The idea is to critique art and hear back from readers about the weekly posts. Let the madness begin!

Jackson Pollock is an excellent example for what I am interested in this week. For my first entry I wanted to share how appreciative I am of this artist. First of all, I love his technique. As you can tell, he works a lot with color. He also does not have a particular subject to focus on. I can imagine the way he used to stand by his paintings and say "what on earth was I thinking when I made this?" He is a respected painter now more than he was ever before. Since his technique is so unique and abstract, his art was controversial to the public and other artists. He was a big part of the abstract movement that was happening at the time. Now, his work is looked at as one of the most wonderful techniques ever created in history. Bravo Jack!
