Design In Society

Design in a few words is a creative process. It is where people can project ideas out of imagination through objects. Society has made it clear that design can mean anything. It can be a poster hanging on the wall of a classroom, a chair at an office, kitchen utensils, or even your favorite mug to drink coffee. It isn't like people aren't aware of design. It's more of communicating with others about the designs that are seen. For example, when a person goes to an art museum it is easy for them to notice art and talk about it. It is not easy to walk out of the museum and talk about the architectural design from every building seen. Why is that? Why can't people talk about more of what they see as design and not what is pushed to be talked about? My wish is for society to be more aware of design as an everyday subject to talk about. If we live around design it should be pretty easy to talk about it with the people around you. That way everyone feels like an expert or could potentially push them create design of their own. As for myself, I tend to make design as part of my daily routine. When I walk around my current town of Davis, I want to know how things were made. How it is possible to create such big and wonderful buildings for students to accommodate themselves to learn. The way that the town is built around a campus. The way that people made it be a town for bicycling. Its so interesting to me. I enjoy every minute when I take a walk outside and just observe. The internet is always a way for me to see what is going on in the design world. In fact, I try to find a new "art" website everyday. The last one that I had found is called: Spread Shirt. It is a website where people can create their own clothes. They can put whatever they want in them. Here take a look! http://www.spreadshirt.com/us/US/Create-t-shirt/Create-your-own-59/

This blog will serve the purpose to share design and comment on what is happening in the world of art.
