Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain
This is definitely one of my favorite movies ever. This past week, in
my design class we watched this movie. We focused on the details and story-line
it told viewers for the first couple of minutes. The movie is about a girl who
helps others feel life in a different way. It's also about a young woman who
struggles to find a man who understands her and loves her. Both of these
"themes" are what make Amelie an interesting movie to watch. In my
opinion this movie stretches out the normal love story that we are so used to
watching. Amelie finds love in little things that no one really notices. For
example she finds love when she puts her hand in grains, when she finds a rock,
or when she helps a person find happiness. While the viewer enjoys the film
there is also a huge part about design in this movie. The colors that are used
in the movie helps the characters, place, or mood seem like the story is one
that was told from someone you know. As you watch the movie, the story grows on
you, really making you beleive the character's lifestyle. The music as well as
color, helps set the mood of the story. It is very intriguing and astonishing
to see music, color, and character all be the best they could be. There is
absolutely nothing wrong with the film! Although I would say that if it were up
to me I would have loved to be in the movie.
