I invite you to see this artists' website (cited below). Claudia Cano is an inspiring artist to my life. Her work ethic is very intense and expressive. I have seen all of her art work, and I think its magnificent. Since I know her from a personal view, right now I'd like to see her more as an artist than what I am so used to. As an design critic, I genuinely admire her unique style. As you can tell from the image above, it is obvious that her medium is photography. Only she does not do self portraits, weddings, or collages. In fact, the way she puts her art together is by thinking about a specific subject, wether its emotional, global, or controversial. The process begins by focusing on something before she can actually take the picture. Do not think she does her photographs digitally. She wants to keep the "old fashion" way of developing photographs alive. After she develops the pictures, she then "cuts open the image" and tries to put it back together by weaving them. Her current project involves relationships and race. Both powerful subjects that come together as one and create something beyond anyone's imagination. Claudia Cano has an immense creativity and her career has gotten her to be acknowledged as one of the most magnificent photographers in the art world and my life.
